These annual awards are presented to Club Rotarians who have exemplified the "Service Above Self" motto by exhibiting outstanding volunteer service and commitment to the Lawrence Rotary Club. This year's award will be presented at the regular Thursday meeting on June 10, 2010.

 

2010 Rotarian of the Year

 

The Rotarian of the Year is chosen as follows:

  • Nominations from the membership at large.
  • Final decision by the Rotarian of the Year Committee comprised of the current Club VP, VP-elect and the last three honored club members.

Guidelines for Nomination:

  • Nominations must be made by a club Rotarian and meet the criteria for the award.
  • Nomination must be in writing on the official club form or online form.
  • Nominations must be received by April 15th 2010.

 

Criteria for the Award:

  • Nominee must be a member in good standing, i.e. good attendance, dues current, etc.
  • Nominee must have been active in at least 3-4 club activities such as proposing new members, youth exchange, group study exchange, fundraising activities, community projects, district meetings and international meetings.
  • Nominee must be active in the community.
  • Meet professional standards and ethics (exemplify the Four Way Test).
